Collecting Pitcairn Postcards

Pitcairn postcard collecting is a difficult, and sometimes expensive, hobby. But having said that, it is quite fascinating if you are interested in the history of the Island and its people. My interest has expanded to include the New Zealand Shipping Company, whose passenger ship calls at Pitcairn provided a lifeline for the Islanders for many years. Also postcards featuring the replica Bounty, the original Bounty having carried the mutineers and their Polynesian partners to Pitcairn

Mystery postcard

23 November 2010

This postcard was sold on eBay back in November 2004. I would be very interested to know what you think about it. Is it really a view taken on Pitcairn Island? Please add comments to this blog.
